Hi, I'm Lizzie, the creator and host of Historical True Crime.

I've been fascinated by history for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always drawn to the stories that lived between the lines of history books, the mysteries, scandals, crimes, and extraordinary people whose lives shaped the world around them. That curiosity eventually led me to create Historical True Crime, a place where I could combine my love of history, research, and storytelling.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in History, and what began as a passion project has grown into a podcast with listeners around the world and nearly one million downloads and streams. Every episode is thoroughly researched using books, newspapers, court records, academic sources, and contemporary accounts, with the goal of telling compelling stories while remaining grounded in the facts.

My approach to true crime is simple: the most interesting part of any case is rarely just the crime itself. I'm fascinated by the people involved, the communities they lived in, and the historical context that shaped what happened. Whether I'm covering a notorious killer, a forgotten victim, a famous trial, or an unsolved mystery, my goal is always to tell the story with care, curiosity, and respect.

When I'm not researching the next episode, you'll usually find me reading, working on an embroidery project, hunting for vintage treasures, or planning my next historical deep dive.
